Still looking. Haven't found the right box with the 8MM video tapes. I did find a few of them. All family, kids, Disneyland... trip to Ireland and Scotland, but no Reno, Las Vegas yes. I'm remembering some of them now, road trip from Reno to Silver City through the mountains. Walking through the Eldorado late at night with the camera running, past the dollar slots.

I have found that after all these years, they start to lose information. The audio goes first. Picture starts to tumble and flip. Colors loose the blues or greens and they start to flare. Good time to rescue what's left, if I can.

Transfer to DVD isn't that difficult, or wasn't when I started trying to save these. It's been awhile. Then I can take the DVD and digitize into video.

Anyway, yes, it's on the list with other things I haven't seen in four years or more.
