At the encouragement of Pam G., I thought I'd post a few pics from my Empress (Joliet) collection. For the past few years I had been amassing quite the hoard of Empress chips & didn't stop until, among everything else, I was able to complete a rack of each of the primary and secondary $1000 chips as well as the snappers (for what it's worth, the secondary snappers and secondary $1k's were by far the hardest to find). By the time I finished the hoard was 7700+ chips, much of which I have recently liquidated so that others could acquire, add on to, or complete sets. I kept a little of everything, though, and even had some custom quarters made up to go along with it! Pictured you'll see a mug, one of my 5-6 matchbooks/matchboxes from there, and a Empress-embossed poker setup (albeit from Hammond instead of Joliet).
