The Chip Board Archive 24

Hi Rich...

I'll clear this up. I own these. I got them from a large cuban collection that was being broken up years ago. I bought the collection with another
cuban collector. We sat at my house and divided up the lot of chips evenly. Included in the collection were 10 or so prototypes from different cuban casinos. I don't believe the chips that the other collector got were ever submitted to the guide. These three have the unfinished edge so they are no question "prototypes", the inlay and crosshatching are 100% correct. I believe this mold was made and used for these cuban prototypes prior to being used in LV years later.

Records of when the mold was created should exist in someones archives. They would be able to tell us when it was made and if these chips could have been made just before the revolution. I think that makes more since than someone sneaking a chip press with old inlays on a active house mold.

Thanks for the question…
