My Zimba Chip turned into a Taco!

When I went to put my newly-acquired Zimba chip into an album page last night, I was astonished to find it totally warped - inlay falling out on one side, chip curling up. It was flat when I bought it at the swap meet! I haven't kept it in direct sunlight or exposed it to harmful chemicals, in fact it's been in a rack with other chips (none of which warped), just hanging out. What causes this spontaneous warping and what can I do to halt it???

My only guess is that the seller tried to clean the chip in some manner and left residue of the chemicals on it, the chemicals have soaked into the clay or reached in interior, to cause this damage.

Any ideas?

My Zimbalation has turned to Zimbatears!
