lucky to be alive

i'm so blessed being alive and given a second chance of life. my doctor made a mistake giving me the wrong medicine for treatment on a very common workplace injury carpo tunnel syndrome. it is so common and treatment is 97 % success rate. my doctor misdiagnosed my injujy. he thought i had a wrist sprain when in fact it was only carpo tunnel. i went to the hospital in very serious critical condition due to side effect on the drug pregnozone which my idiot doctor gave me. luckily the great doctors at Castle Hospital saved my life. The things that really upset me is the fact that my doctor doesn't believe that he gave me the wrong drug. the doctors explained to my family while i was sleeping that my doctor clearly gave me the wrong medicine. there only concern was getting me better and well enough for me to leave healthy. and with God's help and the Doctors help I was very fortune to have been spared my life and are forever grateful for that. i also reflect on this great hobby. the best group of collectors and friends who have become my second family. like a family many have left me also like Sue Dolce, Betty & Vince Mowery, Tim Oneal (the dealer who was the one who asked you nevada casino questions and if you answered correctly he would give you a free casino chip. i was onky able to meet him at my first casino annual show at the 1997 Aladdin show, Tim passed away after that show months later, others who have died, Janice Oneal, Bruce Landau, Gene Glossblatt, Mr Hall a former chip dealer, now CT Rogers who i had become so close to (cant believe he has died suddenly). I missed my first show to my nearly dearly injury. other dealers who are living but let the hobby Mel Jung, Jerry Wall, Dick Price, Steve Cutler, . I forgot to mention the Father of our great hobby our lifetime historian Mr. Harvey Fuller. If wasn't for Pioneers Like Mr. Fuller and Phil Jensen there wouldn't be a hobby with so much knowledge and collectors. Cant wait to going to the June 2015 South Point Show and seeing my dear friends again. I'm blessed to still have buddies in this great club alive and giving me so much support. these special extended family is Carey Burke, Steve Goodrich, Estelle and Scott Hartman, James Campiglia, Local fellow Hawaiian Quintin Kamm, Doug Saito, Roger Herman, David Spragg, Mark Freitag, Henry Garret, Bud Meyer, and more that i may have missed. I'll be there 2015 unless something happens. Been a great 19 years and Best Christmas ever. God Bless you all. Love Edwin Sugai R3261 member since 1997. The year after the Sands closed its doors.
