He said he did not have a gambling problem, and that poker is not gambling. They should have asked him if he had a poker problem.
In any event, I learned long ago that there are two ways to convict somebody: (1) ask him if he did the crime, and if he admits it you have your proof. (2) ask him if he did the crime, and if he denies it, show he is a liar. #2 is the method used here.
