In 1987 I moved from Milwaukee to Normal, IL to get back into engineering. The one thing that surprised me there was that the wind blows continuously at about 20 MPH. Since it is the flattest territory in the world there is nothing to stop the wind. Whenever it snowed it would come down horizontally. Here in TN I can never get enough of a breeze to cool the house off. Unless there is a storm going on the wind never blows.
