I buy ink/toner on eBay all the time. I use laser printers, and save around 50%. For printing photos, you will want to always use the original product - not refills or generics.

As you have chosen to print photos, you will always pay a high price for ink refills. I take my photos to the drug store for a much cheaper (and longer-lasting product).
