The Golden Nugget had a circle of token-eating slot machines last time I was in Laughlin (and that's about a year ago). I asked the cashier if I could buy one or two for my collection, and she said NO! - all tokens have to immediately go into a counting machine in the cage, no exceptions, no sales & beat it. Hmmmm. I found the token machines, slid in a $20 banknote, and pushed the cash-out button. CLANG CLANG CLANG!!! 20 metal tokens spilled out. Kept the best five of them, walked back to the same lady at the Cage and with a smirk said, "I think I found a way to get tokens." The look on her face, like the Visa Card ad, was "priceless."
