The game was thrown for the "good" of baseball. Jeter's is "Mr. Clean" and just what baseball wants people to focus on. I think the opportunity presented itself to let Jeter win the game, so it was handed to him. I'm just glad that neither the Yankee nor Oriole pitcher served up their pitches underhanded, or that would have looked too obvious.
