Opposite ends of the spectrum

My mother sent my nephew some shoes for his birthday.
She was kinda miffed that he never acknowledged the gift.
One year later, the day after his next birthday, he called to thank her for the shoes.
USPS took one full year to deliver.

The other side of the coin:

I live in Illinos. I ordered some sun glasses from Hidalgo in Texas.
I put the letter/order/check in a neighborhood mailbox about 5:00 PM Thursday night.
My new sun glasses were in my mailbox at 11:00 AM Saturday.
42 hours turnaround! I still don't believe it!
