As I read the announcement, MGM is not currently licensed in A.C. so they couldn't purchase anything. The hearing tomorrow has to do with MGM buying shares back into the Borgata which was put into a trust fund a couple of years ago.

"Officials with MGM will go before the Casino Control Commission on Wednesday, in an attempt to reacquire the company's stake in the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa."

Optimistically speaking; better things may happen down the road if all goes well at tomorrow's meeting.
