Here's the reply I got through eBay before the item disappeared:

"A discussion board is not proof the item is not "Believed to be original from Virginia City" "Counterfeit"I would like some proof, a photo of another would help so I can see the designs are not the same.Words from others is not proof to me that the item is not the real McCoy.I have sold items before where these types of discussion boards come up and the very person writing the garbage on the boards is the very person bidding on the item trying to get others to not bid so they can get it for less money. I have had items pulled and bidders e-mailing me to get the item for less money. I was already contacted by a bidder the first day who informed me this piece would sell for a fair amount and that the bidders really interested have not even showed up yet. Thanks for your e-mail but I need some proof not just words on a discussion board..Respectfully,Lots-Of-Good-Stuff"

I also tried to find the item again and it is gone!!!

Maybe Ebay pulled it!
