The next time I'm at the Lake Tahoe Historical Society museum, I'll see if they have any old post cards.

I spent this afternoon at the Douglas County Assessor/Recorder's office, trying to find old property records of Tahoe casinos, but in order to look up a record, you have to know who sold the land, who bought the land, and when it was sold -- those are the three pieces of information I was hoping they could tell me. So I guess I'll have to go through the property records line by line for the last 70 years to find out when every casino was bought and sold at Lake Tahoe ...

Fortunately online newspaper databases are a little more user-friendly than the county office.
