I just called Caesars in A C to cancel my COMPED room and Donny and Marie Show tickets for tomorrow and Tuesday because of my leg injury (will be going to Dr. tomorrow).

While I was on the phone I tried to rebook a room for August 31 - Sept. 2 (Labor Day Weekend) as a replacement - since Showboat and Revel are both closing at that time. The FREE offer I HAD was no longer available at Caesars and Ballys. Harrahs had rooms but the lowest rate for the 2 night stay was $1404.00(Yes - One Thousand and Four Hundred and Four American Dollars) even though I have a Harrahs Diamond card.

Is this crazy or what for a town that is closing Casinos left and right and laying off 1000s of workers ???? Ouch,Ouch,Ouch all the way around for everyone !!!!

If I had booked the room originally when I got the room offer it would have been Comped !!!!I guess I missed out on that one.

I did book a motel in A C area for around $150.00 total for the 2 nights and if my leg is better I will go to the 2 casino closings.
