Just looked through "The Gaming Table" book. Dozens of Turf Clubs across US, some in Seattle. One (on page 491) is:

"Turf Smoke Shop [NEW F.O.B. Turf]
107 Pike St
Seattle WA
Mold HUB (my chips are chain mold, but they could have used many different chips)
Opened c. 1930, Closed c. 1950s"

¶ what does [NEW F.O.B. Turf] mean here? (It usually is a freight term: free on board.)
¶ the granddaughter mentioned the Turf Club being in "Pikes Area" of Seattle, and thought a tobacco or some other legal shop was in the front of the establishment.
