Preserving B&G Jetons/Plaques

Hello and greetings from Finland! I've been doing some research on the subject, but figured I might as well run this by you in case I've missed anything. grin

I own a playable set of Bourgogne & Grasset jetons and plaques, some with lunettes. I wouldn't say any stink of vinegar yet, but the ones with lunettes do have a faint, stuffy and a bit sweet odor. They were used in the casino though, and my jetons without lunettes I got brand new, so they're not the best comparison. None of them have bubbling or any other indication of degradation, unless the lunettes not always feeling 100% flush on the plaques is one.

It seems the best thing for me to do is to keep them stored in a cool place and protect from humidity as well as from UV. While UV isn't really an issue, the other two factors are. I've decided to make room in my fridge, so that takes care of the temperature. Or should I consider my freezer instead? To fight humidity, I'm going to coat the tokens using a paste car wax (hoping the one in link below will do a nice job). I don't really want to use nail polish or equivalent as my tokens are used for play and IMO it would detract from the experience, I'm hoping the car wax is enough to do the job...

Any insight / thoughts on this matter are greatly appreciated. vbg
