If it's any help at all...I looked in our 1939, 1944, 1952, 1953 and 1956 phone books, and a 1945 business directory. The only "Lodge" I could find was Winifred F. Lodge...and I'm pretty sure that isn't the Lodge we're looking for...! sad (The 1944 phone book lists Mrs. Jimmie Jones as the proprietor of the Green Shack.)

While not exactly the same, I notice that the Lodge/Green Shack matches also had the squares on the front and back covers....which strengthened my thought that the matches are probably older than any of our phone books; but I figured it was worth a try. grin

(And...if your 401k is down to 01, you can't afford an early Red Rooster matchbook....I'm so glad we started on matches before you did!!!!!!!!!) grin

I'm looking forward to seeing (or reading grin ) what you come up with, on the Lodge...
