My first full-time job; 1956 -- as a 14-year-old ~

~~~ (summer job at Jones Beach Long Island) was $1 per hour... but I had to do a lot of talking to get it up to that from the 90-cents I hired on at when I first started... (free lunch and all the milk I could drink out of a 20-quart can, too). vbg
