What is more fitting a note for Christmas Eve than a Santa Claus note from the United States. It is a legitimate $1 & spebdable note issued by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. However these notes were altered with a tissue thin picture of Santa Claus pasted over the original portrait. The overlay is barely perceptible with touch. Why were these made? It was Christmas many years ago that these were made and sold for $20 each with the proceeds going to a Children’s Hospital. Have a Merry Christmas !!!
