Inherited chip collection what do I do now?

My father recently passed away and I have inherited his extensive chip collection, which includes aproximately 20 3-ring binders filled with chips that he has been collecting since the late 80's. Should I continue his passion and hold his collection and expand it, or find a single buyer for the entire collection or break it up into lots and sell a few chips at a time on ebay. I am just learning about this hobby, have not joined CC>CC, although my father had been a long time member and went to many of the conventions. Thank you for any input or advice you might share.
