Hi Jim,

I'm not 100% positive that it was never framed, but I couldn't find any signs of a frame.

Part of the reason I think it wasn't framed is that the glass is about 1/4" larger than the cardboard back, on all four sides. The Monte's Club piece is the same way.

I decided to do some "research" vbg . I knew we had a couple of similar pieces, so I went and looked in the drawer I thought they were in, and I expected to find 2-3 pieces. I found 8 vbg (once a collector...)!!

Of the 8 non-casino/non-Nevada ( sad ) pieces, 7 were framed in thin metal wrap-around frames. The 8th piece wasn't framed...and it appears that it was never framed grin . (See picture below)

These 4 all have thin metal frames...and all four of them have/had calendars when they were new.

No frame, but it has corner pieces...which would probably look really cool on the Gem Bar piece! grin
