Infrared security marks on chips

Came across a seller (or distributor) of casino chips named Santin & Company in Las Vegas.
Their website is: http://www.securechips.com

They sell chips to casinos (only) -- no home game sales. Client list is a variety of California and Tribal casinos, none in Nevada.

Their chips feature various designs / colors / etc. as you would expect. Security features include UV printing and also INFRARED (IR) printing. First time I've seen Infrared offered as a security feature.

Since it is invisible to the naked eye, you would need an IR device (IR flashlight or IR glasses, not sure which?) to read the markings.

Has anyone encountered chips with IR markings and/or used any sort of IR reader to examine chips?
