Database In The "CLOUD"
In Response To: collecting software? ()

My son has developed a huge database software for collectors that resides in the "cloud" so you can send a link to anyone for possible trades or take a laptop to a show and see your entire collection in just second. It's easy to get started and extremely easy to keep current. Look at how I have my collection set up (this is a read only version) and see how nice it looks. Once a registered user, you get a very nice user interface for data entry about your chips like, value, TCR and CG numbering system, an easy up loader for jpeg images up to 100 at a time. Later software will offer buy and sell with a PayPal engine and the ability to print an entire collection using your own printer. It works great and everyone who has seen it likes it very much. The best part is the cost -- only $5 a month -- cancel when you want and no contract. Cloud is housed in Dallas, Texas. Let me know what you think. Once site opens, just access the database by using the directory on the left hand side of the page. Click the all caps category or the arrow out besides the category. A listing by casino name will appear. Click the name and the chips are displayed at the right. Remember, this is only a visual (read only) but when signed in as a user, you see the full database functions.
