I really have never considered making an online catalog of my chips and players cards until I have seen a lot of you doing it. I started last night and it sure is labor intensive.

My questions:
How do you scan your chips perfectly straight? I would think I had it straight on the glass and when it scanned it would be slightly crooked. I would have to scan 2 or 3 times to get it straight.

Do you scan multiple items at one time and crop them or do you scan everything individually?

What software is everyone using to do this? I am using the scanning software that came with the scanner but I suspect I could get photoshop or maybe something free online.

Has anyone found that scanning to a certain DPI or size been beneficial.
