I ship most of my chips in a standard legal-sized envelope with a 1st class forever stamp. If I ship 2 chips I add the additional 20¢ postage for the 2nd ounce. I’ve probably shipped 200 chips using this method and have only had 2 returned for additional postage. I asked at the USPS this week what the new rate will be for standard 2oz envelope. She said that the new 1st class rate of 45¢ will now include the 2nd ounce. The clerk said that the new rates will actually be 19¢ cheaper to mail a 1oz letter. Yes! Finally a rate decrease!
