Brenda and I stayed at the beautiful El San Juan a couple of years ago as a wonderful all expense paid Christmas gift received from our oldest son. Don't know if we would have chosen that particular hotel if we were paying the bill, but we had no complaints about the property or hotel staff. Everything was first class. Regrettably, we didn't get to see the rain forest on the other side of the island due to severe knee problems ... but if we ever go back, that's what we would like to see next time.
