LAKE TAHOE - "Set of the Day"
95 of 100

Today's "Set of the Day" comes from the "CAL-NEVA BILTMORE" which was located on Highway 28 in Crystal Bay, on the north shore of the Lake. First opened as the "Tahoe Biltmore" in 1948, became the "CAL-NEVA BILTMORE" in 1952 until closing in 1956. This location later reopened as the "Nevada Lodge" in 1958, and has now been the "Tahoe Biltmore" again since 1986. This attractive "set" was from their 1st issue. Enjoy!

"A replica of a San Francisco Cable Car was used to shuttle patrons back and forth from the Cal-Neva Biltmore to the Cal-Neva Lodge, which were located across Highway 28 from each other"
