Several years ago I was on Route 40 just outside of Atlantic City and was rear ended at a traffic light. I had a Grand Marquis and the guy that hit me had a small Honda. My rear bumper sustained minor damage (a couple of scratches) - the Honda was almost totaled.

When the police arrived the guy that hit me told the cop "I thought for sure that he was going to run the Red Light, but for some reason he stopped and I ran into the back of his car. I can't understand why he bothered to stop." The cop just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders as he wrote the guy a ticket for reckless driving,failing to stop at a red light, etc.
