I posted a note recently about this exact topic and it may even be what you are referring to. I would like to clarify my comments to state that SOME members will not deal with non-club members. There are many of us that have no problem with non-members. In fact we use the good will that the hobby and its participants generate to entice nonmembers to join. I would only withhold shipment of a chip to a nonmember if it was a very expensive chip. In fact this is exactly what I did a few weeks ago when I sold some nice, old Nevada chips. One buyer was a nonmember and I held his chip until I received payment. Another buyer was a member and I shipped his chip immediately. But understand it was a $300 chip to someone I didn't know at all. If it was a $5 chip I would have mailed it out immediately.

As the club treasurer I would like to see your dues payment every year but I am also happy just to have you here as another collector. The decision is yours.
