These are known (but in the case of the green chip, rare) CA chips from 1936

Shipped to Bert Griffith, c/o Griff's Chip Game, Redondo Beach, CA.
Must have been a decent game. 500 chips, and then another 3,500 6 months later
IMO, too many for a home game, and probably not enough for a proper card room.
Could well have been operating illegally.

The lilac chips have white painted edges. I was told they were used as $1's. I have a few of those at $7 each shipped.
The green chip has $20.00 on reverse. I only have two (a bit worn). Not many green are known - maybe 20 or so. The two I have are $20 each shipped.
