Antique Poker Chip..Three Horses

I was in an antique shop recently and saw an old framed print of three horses. I knew I'd seen that image before. It's the same art that Seymour coded PA-NM has. I did a little Googling and found that the painting was done by John Herring in the mid 1800s. The painting is called the "Pharaoh's chariot horses" or simply "The Pharaoh's horses". The subject is in regard to Moses sending the Red Sea back onto the Pharaoh's men in Exodus. In the original painting the enveloping sea is quite apparent. This was popular subject in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It has been copied many, many times. This may be more information about an old chip design than anyone needs to know. I wonder if Herring got a royalty from the chip manufacturer? vbg
