If someone has a stellar football record and he knows one of his underlings has sex with children on the university campus, he should be forgiven if he allows the abuser to continue hosting children's events at the school. Right? That's the standard we need to teach the children.

I know Paterno has done other good things for the community. Every coach does. I don't want to hear more about his community involvement because the community includes vulnerable children and we already know where he stands on that issue.

Truthfully, his sin is so extreme that he should be begging every victim for forgiveness.

Seeking his resignation is the easy way out for Paterno. He has a higher price to pay in a higher place.
