In Response To: Chip Prices vs Chip Quality.. ()

... yes. The chips I am looking for are the hardest ones to find and therefore, I am not too inclined on the quality so much as I am in simply finding them. Then again, I was always wanting those chips that are in good "used" condition anyway (I'll let everyone else fight for the mint/uncirculated chips and the max book values). And thusly, I am pretty much relegated to getting what I can, when I can and where ever I can. I'm not picky... If it comes down to a chip dealer with a perfect condition chip that I need for XXX amount and a non-dealer with a good used condition chip for only X amount, I'll take X. As far as I know, I am the only one who is not so stringent on condition or quality. Good, used condition chips, that are not cancelled, warped, burned, melted, have peeling inlays, are errors, or have completely worn off hot stamps (they must be easily identifiable).

The last year or so, eBay has been pretty much worthless to me and not even chip dealers seem to have what I am needing. I did have a great convention this year, so I am now just saving my money for the convention next year where I may find a couple of chips that I need and can work a fair deal.
