Re: Meeting suggestion
In Response To: Meeting suggestion ()

Here is my two cents worth. To make this meeting productive, we could use Ed's book as an outline and assign where possible geographic leaders to bring updated information for their area of expertise.

Larry Trapp, Roy Klein and myself would update our Northern Kentucky data from what now exists on the site and include information from others who may have fresh information. We would bring that to the convention. Others would update and/or initiate information from their area as assigned.

A thought about pricing. While I understand the need for some guidelines, whatever price is put on a given chip is wrong the day it is printed. Maybe a standard three tiered evaluation would be enough, i.e. Rare, Moderate, Common. That could be a useful conversation at the meeting.

If we used Ed's book as an outliine and brought in completed summaries, we could get close to an update. I too would like to include Gene's work, but that assumes he would agree. Personally, I think his work warrents a separate book, but that's up to Gene.
