I will post this here as it pertains mostly to people asking questions on this bb.

Membership pins for members with 10, 15 or 20 continuous years membership are mailed out by the Secretary.

Between July 2009 and June 2010 it appeared that only one batch of pins were sent out (October 2010) so I inherited a bit of work.
Also, the membership directory did not accurately record the original joining date for everyone, and it transpired that the manual method used to send out the pins in 2010 was checked against a list that didn't include 'do not publish's'.
I gathered together sufficient known joining dates to extrapolate everyones start date within the nearest quarter.
I then determined there were 47 pins outstanding from 2010, and a further almost 200 due up to 9/30/10.
I started mailing those at the end of September. I sent the outstanding ones first, and then started on the 2011's.
So far, all the 15 & 20 year have been mailed, and I am halfway through the 10's. I'm packaging 6 or 7 a day along with my regular mail and have maybe 50 left to go out.

After this lot, I plan to do them quarterly, so the next lot will go at the beginning of Jan, for people who joined in the last quarters of 2001, 1996 & 1991.

Life member pins (which are a one-off on becoming a life member) are mailed by the Membership Secretary. Life members continue to receive 10, 15 & 20 year pins when due. Associate members do not receive any of the pins.
