Royal Match NCV / Marker
In Response To: Thanks everyone....but ()

Reggie, I vaguely recall a marker chip being used in the early days of Royal Match 21. Perhaps when it was going through approval trials, or soon after it was approved. The game may have gone through trials at the Four Queens (maybe Gene T. can verify?)

Anyway, I watched the game at Four Queens ... I think they used some sort of marker chip (like the one you show). Placed by the dealer beside successful Royal Match bets prior to payment. Then returned to the dealer tray after payment. Not really necessary, unless it was used to "advertise" the bet to onlookers, or to signal the special payment to surveillance. I don't think such markers are used anymore, but I don't play the game.

Again, I'm not 100% sure that the chip was used in this way. My recollection is from seeing the chip in the dealer tray that couldn't be harvested, because it was only used for indicating payments, as noted above. It's possible that the chip made an appearance in one of the back issues of the club magazine. If you can find out when Royal Match was first introduced, you could check back issues around that time ... if you really want to dig into it.

Without any special markings on your chip, I'm not sure if you could ever confirm casino use. But maybe someone's memory is better than mine. grin
