You should get a copy of Dwayne Kling's book
In Response To: Reno small clubs reference ? ()

Dwaynw Kling wrote a book titled "The Rise of the Biggest Little City". It is the BEST authoritative source for early Reno gaming available. He generally provide dates addresses and ownership for the clubs that existed in Reno up until the 1980s. The following is from the book:

Circle RB Lodge
2205 West Fourth St
Licensed from 1951 to 1962 for slots,21, Craps, and Roulette
Owners/Operators: Originally opened by Cliff Kehl and Walter Parman. In 1953 Parman bought the California Club in LV and Kehl ran the place by himself until it closed in 1954. It reopened with new owners in 1955 and remained in business until 1962.

Eugene's
2955 S. Virginia St
Licensed from June 26, 1944 until 1953 for slots, 21, and Roulette
The property is now part of the Peppermill parking lot.

This is just a little sample of the great information and detail included in this book. Mr. Kling came to one of our Northern Cal/NV Chip group meetings and made an outstanding presentation. He really know the history of the Reno area clubs and the people who ran them. Not sure where you can get a copy but it would sure be worth it for a serious collector of Reno gaming stuff.

I also collect casino lighters - they are just too cool....
