~~~ a while back when the Caro Collection "hit the street." The huge Dix Mille piece in the center is mine...

...and the picture is from a 1985 book, "CASINOS" by R. TEGTMEIER, which includes some of the World's rarest pieces -- including the BG Collection along with other private collections.

I had the book for many years (prior to eBay Auctions) and always had my eye on that Dix Mille piece. You can imagine how I freaked when I saw it on eBay Auction.

Funny part of all this (the way we always talk about shipping/packaging): the plaque was mailed from Paris in a plain paper envelope w/o and protection, whatsoever. I was totally shocked when I received it undamaged... not even an edge nick.
