FOR TRADE - ONE CASINO CHIP PROJECT chip #2 ....
THE "ONE CASINO CHIP PROJECT" ....

History:

Sept. 11th 2011 (1:21pm):

Posted on the ChipBoard, one casino chip for trade for a more valued casino chip.
The purpose of 'The One Casino Chip Project' is to raise funds for a charity and to bring attention to the variety and value of casino chips.

The original post expanded on this: http://www.thechipboard.com/index.cgi/md/read/id/1125086/sbj/one-casino-chip-the-amazing-trade-please-read/

Sept. 11th 2011 (6:00pm):

The chip that started it all was this $1 Seneca Niagara Casino chip from New York state:

GEORGE BUCKNER R-5849 offered to trade for the $1 Seneca chip.
He offered this $5 "RENO CARD ROOM" chip in trade, which was accepted.

My understanding is that there is only 76 known $5 chips.

"Gene Trimble and Larry Hollibaugh traipsed (must be a word as spellcheck allowed it) all over Nevada in a successful attempt to attribute them. They are from the "Reno Card Room" that apparently was only open for one month in early 1956. We have a ton of documentation on these. Even the minutes of the Nevada Gaming Control Board meeting where the license was granted. "

October 2nd 2011:

This great $5 Reno Card Room chip is now available for trade. Thank you George Buckner.

The key is that the chip traded for it is known to be more valued then this chip.
Once this chip has been traded and the next chip arrives, I will post that chip for trade.
Each trade will be documented on The ChipBoard and it should be very interesting to see the results of this project.

Since no specific charity has been chosen for this project; those who participate can happily make suggestions.
This project is set to conclude approximately one month prior to the 2012 Convention.
All funds from the sale of the final AMAZING CHIP will go to charity.

Please email me if you would like to trade for this $5 Reno Card Room chip.

Many thanks,
Derek Bistricky R-8169 grin
