are old old Brass that for years had been cracked on the edges, now look new, as they recently got a new order of same Brass chips, the newer 2.50 (of a few years is the same). 85% of the brass in great shape, but when they are pounded by dlr's for a tip, they chip easly. I have always loved the pocket ripper Brass chips.
