We stayed there on 9/1/11! The rooms are remodeled using Fountainbleu furntiure, not too bad but I saw the Fountainbleu furniture 2 years ago and it looks a little strange inside the Plaza rooms. They have done a nice job with all of their remodeling so far. I now understand that there will be an official reopening on Veterans's Day Weekend with fireworks etc. Not sure of the exact date! That also appears to be when Oscar's Steakhouse will open along with several other restaurants! They have also put in a small legit theater group somewhere near the convention floors!
