(1) if you have a backup or restore feature, you could tell your computer to go back in time to the period when Outlook wasn't causing trouble. Your data will not be lost, but malfunctioning programs will be corrected back to their pre-glitch condition.

(2) You can also uninstall a defective program and reinstall it.
