If you have somethinhg that is .999 fine silver I would just call a few coin stores and see what they are paying. One store here told me they would pay $1.50 under spot (which is $40.70 as I type this) for the .999 slugs in silver strikes. You will get less for sterling since it is only .925% silver and most sterling flatware also is weighted with something else so brings even less. The bigger stores should be able to offer more and the bigger quantity you have to sell will affect the price. Good luck.
