PayPal spam

Received one of those e-mails from PayPal where they claim there is a problem with my account. Told to log in and verify. Usually question any such e-mails, but the e-mail started with my name, not the usual "Dear PayPal User".

Logged directly into my account and found no problems. Called PayPal and gave then the Case number referenced in the e-mail. Was told that was over two years old and there was no problem with my account. I mentioned the use of my actual name and was told the jerks are getting more experienced and have ways to find your name attached to an e-mail account.

Beware - even if your name is shown in the e-mail, do not log in from the e-mail. Log in directly to the account. If you question the e-mail you can forward to "spoof@paypal.com". PayPal will respond and let you know if it is real and from them or not.
