John Kendall of CHIPCO has been a friend of the hobby for years. He was a seminar speaker at one of the Tropicana Conventions and during that presentation he told the listeners of how the Security UV codes came to be on the Luxor $1 chips.

However, the principal purpose of the seminar was to present the technological break-throughs made by CHIPCO in getting an RFID tag into their ceramic chips during the molten silicone molding stage.
