Monte Carlo Club, Las Vegas NV, 1951 -- two inlaid heart in Large Crown chips (T R King Co., California mold

DESCRIPTION: Recent find. Two chips pictured above up for auction. The chips are valued at $75-$99 EACH in my latest copy of the The Chip Rack (11th edition, 2009), and are dated 1951. I am told that they are valued at $60-$74 EACH in the 13th edition Chip Rack. The Monte Carlo Club was open 1945-55. It was an early downtown Las Vegas club (on Fremont St.), the same location as the earlier Northern Club. Return privileges.

US Presidents of the Democratic Party playing poker:
counterclockwise around the table beginning in lower left:
¶ Jimmy Carter in his peanut farmer clothes and a stack of peanuts resting behind him
¶ Franklin Roosevelt grinning from wheelchair with a cigarette holder clinched in his teeth
¶ Andrew Jackson with the cane he used for ' more than walking' over the back of his chair
¶ Harry Truman in one of his 'Key West' shirts
¶ Lyndon Johnson in his ranch khakis leaningin to make his point
¶ Woodrow Wilson in the very proper dress of a university president
¶ Bill Clinton sporting his casual and relaxed style
¶ John Kennedy looking as he just came from a day of sailing.
