I don't think it is illegal, but:

(1) is it ethical to use a picture (jpeg) from Susong's Chip Guide in your eBay auction listing, especially if your chip looks close to the Chip Guide one condition-wise and the chip is relatively inexpensive (like $10 or less)?

(2) if it is deemed OK, must you disclose in the listing that you are NOT using a picture of the exact chip you are selling? (I always sell "return privileges", by the way, if it matters.)

I am selling some chips for a friend. OK to take these pictures, for example? .... ..... This has been discussed before. I forget the consensus. I think if you were putting it permanently in your web site, you would want permission. But something trivial and fleeting like I asked above?

Anyone need these (Chip Guide pict's):?
