Used as a "scratcher" for Oregon lottery

These blue brass-core chips were given to retailers who sold Oregon lottery tickets in the early days. I have found several in antique ships in my area near Portland. The sharp edge did a good job of removing the security coat and exposing the numbers or designs on the ticket.

I'm guessing that some individuals drilled a hole and put them on their key chain or neck cord so they were handy to scratch a customers ticket for him.
