Second, it's EXTREMELY important for the owners to know exactly what they're getting into taking one of these dogs in.

My dog, Sultan is really big for a pit bull and taking into account their noteriety, one has to take extra precautions. Especially if they are kept outside. I have an electric line running the entire length of my property. It was one I used when I worked on a ranch. Both my dogs stay at least three feet from the fence no matter whats going on on the other side. Yes they bark and yes they can scare the heck out of you but if they are raised properly, they are very good pets.
